Gone for the week

Going to New Orleans this week, so I won’t be posting or answering your posts till next Tuesday.
So exited to go.

We (a group of 7 of my friends) are going as part of a larger organization to help with the rebuild (yes it’s still going on). Also if I manage to see a little of the city wile I’m there that will be ok by me too. I hope to come back having helped many people, and having acquired a sun burn.

The parts hit hardest by the floods spooked me. It was a ghost town, and so many buildings were in shambles, while at the same time others looked so pristine. There were only a few people, and it was always so quiet. What really got me was the moss looking stuff growing on roofs, and the spray painted symbols on the houses left by the coast guards.
