Or maybe that should be Jazz .
Well, as promised we fixed up houses of Katrina victims, and got lots of sun. but my favorite thing was the French Quarter on our day off. Their were so many art galleries and shops with cool antiques that I thought my head would explode. Not to mention the sweet jazz clubs and street performers, all of witch did not suck.
The weather was cool in the evening and a steady wind made the heat of the day not so bad. We got to see a live performance at Preservation Hall (witch I will remember till the day I die) and even though only one ceiling fan out of four was working, the heat did not stop it from being a packed house. I bought their CD.
I cant explain all the beauty that is the south, and all the magic that is New Orleans, youll just have to go see it for yourself.

Though... My sunburn is so bad (still, 1 week & 1 day later) that I'm thinking about going to the doctors tomorrow...!

When one has dealings with scholars and artists it is easy to miscalculate in opposite directions: behind a remarkable artist one not infrequently finds a mediocre man, and behind a mediocre artist often a very remarkable man.

I went there a year ago on a mission trip. It was beautiful.

Me, personally, I prefer the dark. Does that make me evil, or just nocturnal?
